Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Scientist B:
- PG Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Civil/Mechanical) or Science (Chemistry/Environmental Science/Microbiology).
- 5 years experience for PG Degree holders.
- Assistant Law Officer:
- LLB + 5 years experience in legal practice/State Judicial Service.
- Upper Division Clerk:
- Graduate + Typing speed (35 WPM in English / 30 WPM in Hindi).

Age Limit (as on 28.04.2025)
- Scientist B: Max 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per norms).
- UDC/MTS: 18–27 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PwBD (UR): +10 years
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS:
- Two-hour exam: ₹750 + ₹250 test fee = ₹1000
- One-hour exam: ₹350 + ₹150 test fee = ₹500
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Exempted from exam fee (only test fee applicable).
Salary
- Scientist B: Level-10 (₹56,100–1,77,500)
- Assistant Law Officer: Level-7 (₹44,900–1,42,400)
- UDC: Level-4 (₹25,500–81,100)
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) for most posts.
- Skill Test/Typing Test for clerical posts.
- Interview for Scientist B (85% weightage to CBT, 15% to interview).
- Cut-off Marks:
- UR: 35% | OBC/EWS: 30% | SC/ST/PwBD: 25%
