Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme-2024: The ‘Life Insurance Corporation of India’ is offering a scholarship under the name of Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme-2024 to poor students who are talented but unable to pursue higher studies due to financial constraints. Eligibility Criteria
- General Scholarship
- Must have passed Tenth/Inter/Diploma with at least 60% marks in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000.
- Students must be pursuing any of the following courses in government or government-recognized institutions for the academic year 2024-25:
- Intermediate, Degree, Medicine, Engineering, Integrated Courses, Diploma, Vocational Education, or equivalent courses.
- Special Girl Child Scholarship
- Aimed at encouraging higher education among girls after Class 10.
- Must have passed Class 10 with at least 60% marks in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000.
- Applicable for girls pursuing Intermediate, Vocational, Diploma, or ITI courses in government or government-recognized institutions in 2024-25.
Scholarship Assistance
- General Scholarship
- Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS): ₹40,000 per year (paid in two installments).
- Engineering (BE, BTech, BArch): ₹30,000 per year (paid in two installments).
- Degree, Integrated, Diploma, or Vocational courses: ₹20,000 per year (paid in two installments).
- Special Girl Child Scholarship
- ₹15,000 per year (paid in two installments) for girls pursuing Intermediate, Vocational/Diploma courses after Class 10.
Selection Procedure
- Selection is based on:
- Merit (marks obtained in Tenth/Intermediate).
- Financial status of the family, prioritizing students from lower-income groups.
