In line with the recent state policy to hold TET exams biannually, qualifying TET scores are now valid for life, adding 20% weightage to marks obtained in the upcoming District Selection Committee (DSC) exams. Many candidates retake TET to boost their scores, enhancing their selection prospects for teaching roles.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Paper-1: For Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) roles in primary schools, candidates must have completed a Diploma in Elementary Education (DED).
- Paper-2: For School Assistant (SA) roles in high schools, a Degree and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) are mandatory.
- Service Teachers: Eligible to retake TET for score improvement.
- Exam Pattern: Two papers, each carrying 150 marks.
Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 90 marks
- BC Category: 75 marks
- SC/ST/Disabled: 60 marks
- Weightage for Final Rank: TET scores receive 20% weightage, and TRT scores 80%.
- Subjects in Paper 2: Separate exams for Mathematics, Science, and Sociology, aligning with high school subject specialties.
Reduced Application Fees:
This year, application fees have been reduced:
- One Paper: ₹750
- Two Papers: ₹1000
- Special Provision: Candidates who failed in the previous May TET exam can reattempt without fees; however, those who passed must pay to improve their scores.
